Welcome to the Youth page here at Macland Road.  Our Youth is comprised of middle school and high school students from 6th grade to 12th grade.

We study God’s word together.

…from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15).

Our young people get together two times each week to study God’s word.  They meet together each Sunday morning and Wednesday night @ 7!

We are training to become leaders in God’s church.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).

Lads to Leaders is a big deal at Macland Road.  The aim of Lads to Leaders is to provide churches of Christ with effective, year-round leadership training tools that can be adapted to individual congregational needs.Students are encouraged to become more involved at their home congregation through our year-round events (Bible Reading, Bulletin Board, Speech, Song Leading/Songs of Praise and Puppets).

The purpose of Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes is to help local congregations instill the Word of God into youth and adults so that they will stand firm in the faith. Teaching students to do “Bible things in Bible ways” is the essence of Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes.

We have fun together.

For our young people, there is always something to do.  The year is full of area-wide devotionals, monthly get-togethers, Camp Inaghei, Connections Camp, Exposure Youth Camp and other various activities in which we can have a lot fun while serving in God’s kingdom.

In December, we had a lot of fun and bonding time with each other.  We had a progressive dinner in which we had appetizers and dinner at the homes of the Elders and capped off the evening at the youth Deacon’s home for desserts, games and devotionals.  Finally on New Year’s Eve, we got together after Wednesday evening service and rang in the new year with games, singing and breakfast.
