Thank you for your interest in the Macland Road Church of Christ.  We know why you are here.

You want Jesus, and so do we.

We preach Jesus.  He is the only way to be saved (Acts 4:12).  All that we do is in His name (Mt. 28:18; Col. 3:17).  We are a people reconciled to God by our obedience to the gospel of Christ, and we plead with men to do the same.

We teach that men must believe that Jesus is God’s Son.  Jesus said in Mark 16:16, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

Furthermore, we emphasize the necessity of repentance from sins (Acts 2:38; Acts 17:30), confession that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God (Matthew 10:32), and teach that men should be baptized (Acts 2:38; Gal. 3:27).  In doing such, the blood of Jesus cleanses the sinner from his sins (Acts 22:16; Rev. 1:5).

Finally, after becoming a follower of Christ, we believe that one must continue to follow Him until death. Jesus said, “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).

You want to please God, and so do we.

We believe that New Testament Christianity can be authentically practiced in the present day. We simply want to be Christians—nothing more, nothing less.  We believe that if we do what people did in the first century to please God, as they were under the direction of Christ and His apostles, then we will certainly please God as well.

We sing together, pray together, study the Bible together, observe the Lord’s supper weekly together, and contribute weekly to the Lord’s work together.

You want God’s word, and so do we.

God’s word is truth (Jn. 17:17).  It is only the Scriptures which have the capability of making men wise unto salvation, and we believe that God has given us The Bible so that we might be made complete, equipped for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17).

Accordingly, we teach and preach God’s word in its beautiful simplicity and life-giving power.

You want family, and so do we.

We invite you to know ours.  We are the family of God (1 Tim. 3:15).  We worship together, eat together, laugh together, cry together, and rejoice together.

Our life in Christ is shared with one another.  We love one another (Jn. 13:35), encourage one another (1 Thess. 5:11), serve one another (Gal. 5:13)forgive one another (Col. 3:13), and bear one another’s burdens (Gal. 6:2).
