We Invite You to Worship Online with Us This Sunday.

It is with great difficulty that we announce that all public gatherings and events at Macland Road Church of Christ have been indefinitely suspended. This decision is made with respect for Cobb County’s emergency order in direction of its citizens to shelter in place.

We lovingly encourage you to make plans to worship with us this Sunday morning at 10:30 via the church’s livestream.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation throughout this time of uncertainty. The elders will continue to assess the situation and consider new information as it is made available.

Our hope is to resume our public gatherings as soon as it is reasonable to do so.

Q&A

How do I tune in?

The easiest way to find our livestream is to visit our website: www.maclandroadchurchofchrist.org. The stream will begin Sunday morning at 10:15 AM. Worship begins at 10:30 AM.

If you need help to stream our service, please contact us no later than Friday.

How do I partake of the Lord’s Supper?

As always, Communion will be featured during our worship service. We encourage you to secure your communion elements ahead of time: a) unleavened bread and b) the fruit of the vine. We suggest several options:

1. Pickup – Someone will be at the Macland Road building this Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.

2. Prepare your own – These items should be available at your local grocery store. Should you choose to cook your own unleavened bread, here is a recipe.

Unleavened Bread (Communion Bread) Recipe:

1 cup All-Purpose Flour
1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
1/8 tsp (or a pinch) of Salt
1/3 cup Water
Preheat oven to 425.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, or silicone may, etc.
  • Mix flour, oil and salt together in a bowl.
  • Add water slowly and mix until dough is soft and workable (sort of like play dough or clay)
  • Form dough into 6 balls and press into disks on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven until bread is cooked (lightly browned) approx. 8-10 min.

3. Delivery – Call Rick Shumpert at 404-285-8389 no later than Friday morning at 9:00 AM if you need communion elements delivered to your home. Deliveries will be made on Friday.

How do I give?

Thank you for supporting the mission and efforts of the Macland Road Church of Christ. To give, you have several options:

1. Dropoff – Someone will be at Macland Road this Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.

2. Mail-in – You can mail your check to:
